Transparency in research funding

EnArgus: Up-to-date information on energy research and data on all projects since 1977

With the EnArgus information system, the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action provides an Internet portal that provides information on current and completed research projects in the Federal Republic of Germany on the subject of energy research. EnArgus provides a comprehensive insight into the Federal Government's operational funding policy and demonstrates the efficient use of funds to the German Bundestag and the public. With a modern user interface, EnArgus creates transparency in research funding and is accessible to all interested parties via the website EnArgus.de.

The EnArgus database contains information on over 31,000 funded projects in the field of energy research in Germany since 1977 and is updated daily. In addition to the presentation of the individual projects, a wiki provides information on the various energy topics, technologies and technical terms. A technical term ontology links key energy research terms with each other and with the contributions in the wiki.

The information system complements the existing reporting systems in this field. This also includes the "Strategic Energy Technologies Information System" (SETIS), which is part of the European context of the SET-Plan. The EnArgus information system also forms the basis for the Federal Government's Energy Research Report.
