Funding for research, development and demonstration projects is generally provided in accordance with the framework conditions for collaborative and individual projects described in the funding announcement. In addition, there are specific funding formats, which are listed here.

Joint and individual projects

Research teams can apply for funding throughout the year with innovative project ideas within the scope of eligible topics.

Micro Projects

Micro projects are a low-threshold funding format, usually limited to a duration of six months. They can only be applied for as individual projects. The format is aimed in particular at commercial enterprises and local authorities.
